Many other processes have been developed for sheet workpieces which add many more opportunities to the design. Welding, forcing in of bolts, struts and nuts may for example be used in a variety of selections providing many opportunities and few limitations for optimising design/construction precisely targeted for the assignment.
Sheet materials can be surface-treated. The surface treatment to be used depends on type of material (steel, stainless steel, aluminium) and not least the environment that the finished workpiece is to be exposed to.
