Brushed stainless steel is often used for quality contemporary furniture. Compared to ordinary steel, stainless steel is stronger and as a result it is possible to manufacture stainless steel frames that are significantly lighter in weight than ordinary steel frames without compromising the mechanical strength of the frame.
At GBI (Gl. Bedsted industri A/S) we have developed our own fitting system for square-shaped tubes particularly made with knock down furniture in mind. The fitting system is extremely strong and easy to use, also for the end user.
