CNC processing is processing of components on CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines. CNC (Computer Numeric Control) indicates that a machine performs its movements controlled by a computer, and therefore no operator is necessary for the work process itself.
CNC control of machines is a prerequisite for high productivity and precision.
CNC control can for example be expanded with external programming on a powerful PC, handling robot, automatic measuring equipment etc. so that the production of even complicated workpieces is almost automatic and requires a minimum of operator time.
GBI (Gl. Bedsted industri A/S) performs CNC turning on CNC turret lathe, among other machines, with automatic material feed of diameters up to ø 50 mm. We have great experience in processing of non-machining stainless steel such as AISI304 (1.4301) and AISI316 (1.4401, 1.4435). We use SOLID CAM for programming, and therefore we can offer processing of complex workpieces with great precision, safety and security.
